Travel Tips

When to Go

Plan your visit according to the diverse climates and weather conditions of different regions. Spring offers mild temperatures, perfect for national park explorations. Summer invites you to enjoy the great outdoors, while autumn showcases the mesmerizing fall foliage in New England. Winter brings unique festivities and holiday cheer.

Visas & Passports

Ensure you carry a valid passport with at least six months' validity beyond your departure date and obtain the Electronic System for Travel Authorisation (ESTA) before travel. Stay informed about passport and visa requirements through the Australian Government's smarttraveller.gov.au.

Currency & Tipping

The US Dollar (USD) is the official currency. Tipping is customary in restaurants, bars, and taxis. Show your appreciation with 15% to 20% of the bill, USD1 per bag for hotel porters, and 10% of the tour price for guides.

Time & Electricity

The USA operates on four main time zones. Remember to adjust for Daylight Saving Time in most states (except Arizona). The country uses 110V 60Hz electricity, requiring an adapter for your electronic devices.

Accommodation Fees

Some properties in the USA may charge an Accommodation Fee, which varies by hotel and includes different amenities. Please consult your travel agent for details, and if applicable, the fee is included in the Australian Dollar "From" price on the property listing.
